In 1968, on my way to a UFO convention in Landers, I
came across a small highway sign directing me to Desert
Christ Park. Amazed, I shot a roll of film.
   In 2008 I decided to go back.  In the 40 years since my
last visit, earthquakes and vandals had taken their toll on 
the park.  Far more disturbing was that the secular aspects
of Antoine Martin's vision, designed to be a shrine for World
Peace, had been bastardized or destroyed. It had been done
by people without his vision or talent. Religious people. It
seemed to me to mirror what had happened in America.
